Summer Has Returned

Summer has returned. As the rest of the country has been melting in the historic heat wave the pacific NW has been cool and many days wet. This last week has been a pretty sold stretch of 70's which has given many a chance to get out and enjoy the weather. The chambers comp is this saturday so this weather has been perfect to get out and practice. Today I found got some awesome new photos from Alki. Alena Dennis, my girlfriend is an aspiring photographer and took some killer shots that weekend. Check them out and let me know what you think.

Rainy Days in the Puget Sound

Its days like this that change your game. The last few days have been awesome getting to just relax and skim with a homie. No people, no cameras, no stress, its been amazing. Now it's Monday and the clouds and rain have blanketed most of the Puget Sound. It's days like this where you spend hours upon hours pouring through hundreds of all the skim video's and new media from the year and years past. Days like today, you find what made you inspired to pick up your board in the first place. Whether its what you saw, who you saw, or how you saw it, something clicked and you couldnt get enough. It's days like today when you see something youve never seen in skimboarding. Day's like today can change your style, yourmindframe, and your outlook on what skimboarding is. Without even taking a single toss you fall more in love with our sport. Some may only ever say "The R Word" because they hate the precipitation. True northwesterners find the gold in everything our beautiful region has to offer, I know I have. Today I found a few videos from this season that I got shots in, hope you check them out and spot the prototype in action.

oh yeah, and TONS OF MEDIA COMING SOON SO CHECK BACK SOON

Skim Season 11' Getting in Full Swing

It is now may, the snow is melting, and the temperatures are rising. Time to get your skim feet back, spend your day at the beach, and shred. This spring Victoria Skimboards has been generous enough to design some custom flatland boards. Recently getting to test them has been amazing, and today I finally got some sunshine on one of the first days above 60 in the Puget Sound this year. Check out the pic's, and stay posted for more on the emerging skim season. I'll be posting way more pictures, videos, and everything skim related. Stay stoked!
